I do not think I have ever mentioned Ollie before. He is one of Charlie's kids. He is one of those quiet types that kinda stay under the radar. One day he did get his head stuck in a bucket and rather than panic like most goats would, he calmly walked over to dad for help. Dad thought that was sweet.
Life has not always been easy for Ollie. He can get bad allergies to pollen. It got so bad that Dr Margi had to look at him. He got better and then went with two of Chloe Star's kids to a riding stable. They all three loved all the interaction with children but Chloe's kids ganged up on Ollie and would not let him eat. Generally goats can not come back after they leave, there is too much bad goat disease out there, but they did not have any other goats so Ollie came back here. Mom and dad thought he would do well back in the pen with his mother, but Charlie took one look at him and then viciously head butted his ribs into a fence and then tried again and again as mom and dad worked to get him out of there. She acted like she was trying to kill him, This was quite a shock as Charlie is one of the best moms here. He then moved in with us orphans in the large paddock, and that worked out well as he would have access to more grass. He started putting on weight but his allergies came back, so he got transferred to the yearling pen where there is less grass and that helped his allergies. He was fat and fit so he was back on the sales list again.
Then a few days ago, a man came with his 2 year old boy to look at goats. By the end of the visit the boy was getting tired. He was standing, holding his dad's hand and started to cry. Ollie slowly walked forward until his chest was touching the boys chest and then he wrapped his neck around over the boy's shoulder to give the boy a hug. After they left mom said, "If he does not buy Ollie, I do not know that I can sell him now. He may have to be Lina's Assistant Goat Ambasador."
