Murphy kidded! No kidding!

Murphy had twin boys! This makes her mom Charlie, our second gramma. Charlie was the first doe to kid here and Murphy was one of those three first kids. And just like her mom, Murphy tricked Mom and Dad. The first time Charlie kidded, she waited for dad to start cooking dinner and then she popped out Ollie, Murphy, and Flossie all on her own. Charlie had kidded Ollie in the yard and Ollie had climbed thru the fence to the pen with the other goats and then Charlie went into her stall to kid the other two. Dad went out after dinner to find all 5 of the other goats with their heads together in a football huddle surrounding Ollie in the middle keeping him safe. Murphy showed no signs of labor and did not do any mehhh'ing during her labor. Dad checked the baby cam and thought Linus had jumped the wall into the kidding stall with Murphy, but then he realized he had never seen this goat before and it was nursing off of Murphy! But Murphy was not as quick as her mom and did not kid the second until after mom and dad got to the kidding stall. A friend suggested the name "Pinto" for the first born and "Beans" for the second, and dad and Dr Margi like those names, but the Naming Committee is not in love with them. We will see if the names stick :) Tomorrow or the next day I will meet with the new kids. I am the Ambassa-doe here, so it is always my job to meet with new kids before anyone else.
