Our friend and Farrier, Roger (the BEST and MOST HANDSOME Farrier in the world - even though I did cuss him out one time with a small "f-bomb" when he was trimming my feet) brought two Christmas trees for us to munch on. For a couple of days I ignored them. You never want to be the first goat to eat something. Better to let someone else find out the hard way if it is toxic to goats! But once I tried them it was "Betcha can't eat just one!" I ate them when Dad was not looking (soon I will post about my secret banana peel eating). For three meals in a row my rumen was stuffed with pine tree but Dad did not know I was secretly partaking and started to worry about my loss of appetite. He was confused because I seemed fine and I was even chewing my cud contentedly. I just had no interest in my "private dining experience" even though he kept setting it out for me. But he eventually caught me in the act...
