Dad's got no clue on situational awareness!

Goats are herd animals. Back at the barn we have DeeDee that rotates her head around in an upwards circle to watch the air space for threats from above, and Boomie that keeps an eye out for terrestrial threats. Once something is spotted we all align our bodies to point in that direction and stare it down. Dad has a usual pattern but I have to keep an eye on him in case he wanders away from the herd (me!) I generally trust him to keep out of trouble when he goes to feed the chickens but I do spot check him every once in a while. But if he goes past the red building I am sure to follow him. I keep an eye open and try to persuade him to return to the safety of the barn. I'll run to show how important it is that he follow me back and then pause to see if he is following. I would not want to leave him behind (and me alone!)
