A song and a poem about Chenin

Dad says that Chenin is the most gorgeous goat here. It is odd that I always miss hearing the part where he says, "except for Lina."

This is the song in his head every time he sees her...

Oh Chenin doe,

I long to see you,

Away, you rolling river.

Oh Chenin doe,

I long to see you,

Way, we're bound away

Across the wide Missouri.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote a poem that perfectly describes her, physically (down to the curl) and emotionally...

There was a little girl,

Who had a little curl,

Right in the middle of her forehead.

When she was good,

She was very good indeed,

But when she was bad she was horrid.

But the only thing is, is that Chenin has never been bad. So the poem still correctly describes her. Chenin has never in her life had to have been scolded for anything. She has never jumped up on a person or chewed on clothes or tried to force her head into a feed bucket like most goats do at some time in their lives. And she has never barged thru a gate to get to kids she wants to meet, or bitten a hole in a bag of orchard grass pellets or jumped on feed garbage cans to play the drums like some goats do around here. She is a bit of a "goody two shoes" if you ask me! And she likes to be pet even more than I do. I will stop eating orchard grass pellets to concentrate on being pet, but Chenin will even pause eating her dessert (sunflower seeds) to focus on a pet. At the end of the video she stops eating to move closer to dad to get him to give her pets.
